Steam Snafu[edit]

Okay, it seems like this game is still not on Steam. I have no idea what's actually happened with this game being released but the devs are now selling keys to the Russian version which can be activated and downloaded on Steam. I dont know about everyone else...but I want a US version of the game. I have no idea whats going on. Check out this press release: http://www.runningwithscissors.com/postal-3-steam-keys

Seems like RWS is just carrying on as if nobody is waiting for this game to be released. Who knows! If anyone has any other info about whats happening, feel free to post here! 76.10.17.208 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:53, 17 January 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Untitled[edit]

The main article isnt sure if the game is comming to PC. check www.gopostal.com and in recent interviews with Vince Desi its revealed that it is, ofcourse, comming to pc.

  • I'm going to add that it will be on PC aswell

Where does it say it won't use the Unreal engine? Please, post a link to the article rather than just one sentence ColdWood. I added this as reference to it: http://www.xboxcore.com/interviews/10.html

  • Can we get a source on the bit about murderer lifestyles? If not, we should probably remove it.

Badger?[edit]

Is that a badger? It looks like a German Shepherd. Can we get a source on the badger? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tenraixtreme (talkcontribs) 03:00, August 27, 2007 (UTC) I think it looks more like some kind of wolverine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.200.160.51 (talk) 10:10, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's a badger, can't remember where, but they state it numerous times. --FrostedBitesCereal (talk) 22:06, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
i'm fairly sure they mention the badger weapon in the PC Gamer preview (same place i got the uwe boll bit). i'll go find that issue when i get home so i can be sure of it. 71.17.49.185 (talk) 22:51, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's obviously a badger now in the new screenshots. They have the fur like a badger, also Vince mentioned it on some zombietv internet interview video. "RWS has the badger-saw." (Direct quote lol) --FrostedBitesCereal (talk) 20:52, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And he also said it in the Jeux Video-interview.--Baruch ben Alexander - ☠☢☣ 02:30, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mac os x?[edit]

Are you people sure it will come out on Mac OS X? As source doesn't have (and valve have publicly said there not interested in releasing) a version for Mac OS X i doubt this is true... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.238.226.158 (talk) 03:29, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • However RWS has been very supportive of OSX and recently released the Postal Fudge Pack, which contained the first two Postals and several of the P2 mods, all ported to OSX and upgraded to Universal Binary, yet. So I'd take this a likely. Unfortunately a lot of folks (myself included) plan to pass on this game because it's not FPS. 68.146.41.232 (talk) 19:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have some doubts about this too, especially the idea of a Linux port. 89.123.140.143 (talk) 11:35, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I seriously doubt that there is going to be a Linux port of this game, given that the Source engine does *NOT* run on Linux and has never been ported to Linux. Yes I know RWS has had Icculus (Ryan Gordan) port all their games to Linux in the past. Unless Ryan is going to port Source to Linux, I would seriously doubt that Postal 3 is going to support Linux. That is one of the major problems of the Source engine. It is limited in the platforms it supports compared to other engines out there. Personally I think the Source engine is a poor choice for multi-platform release of a FPS. As for the OS X port. It would seem that this might not be 100% true anymore. If you go to Wikipedia entry on the Source game engine. It does list OS X as one of the platforms supported. "Beginning in April 2010, Mac users will be able to access games via Steam, including Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series." So it would seem that Linux is one of the last major/minor/whatever platforms left for Source to support. They should also add Wii support to make it the great cross-platform engine like some of the others out there. 24.158.6.30 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:15, 8 April 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Release date[edit]

Any release date info? 83.108.225.137 (talk) 22:31, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

no postal 3 in france = bs claim[edit]

The claim that Vince Desi said in the interview to Jeux Video that Postal 3 will not be relased in Europe IST NOT TRUE. What is said is, that Postal 2 WAS not released in France, but he HAS NOT SAID that Postal 3 won't be relased in either France or Europe. THTIS CLAIM IS 100 % FALSE.--Baruch ben Alexander - ☠☢☣ 02:27, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New Info[edit]

http://www.runningwithscissors.com/postal3 Should add that info onto the wiki.. (has characters, story, weapons, system requirements, etc...)

Publisher[edit]

Warner Brothers is NOT the publisher of Postal 3 for the XBox 360 version there is no publisher yet and the PC publisher hasnt been talked about but Running with Scissors did say on its Facebook page that Warner is NOT the publisher for either version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.148.72.220 (talk) 12:10, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Beta leak[edit]

I've seen on a few websites direct link versions of the Postal III beta. Any information or word on that?71.251.32.132 (talk) 16:29, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Linux support[edit]

The article references an interview stating that Postal III will be released for Linux (as well as Mac OS X, the PS3 and the Xbox 360). However, this article is over two years old, and the system requirements page for the game lists no support for any platform other than Windows. Any word on this? This is especially of interest since Valve has not announced Source engine support for Linux, and it seems unlikely that Postal III would be the first game to sport such support without any prior announcement from Valve. BeholdMyGlory (talk) 21:52, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Translation[edit]

Took system requirements. Everything else seems to be the exact same info as the English wiki, aside from the fact the Russian release has had two patches that fix hundreds of bugs that probably won't affect the English release. PraiseTheLard (talk) 18:05, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
