Song[edit]

I came here looking for the song "Pretty in Pink" but got straight to the film instead. Considering that the song existed first, perhaps the entry should go straight to the song? Or there should be a page where you can choose. 212.64.98.189 18:38, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

The same happened to me. A "Pretty in Pink also refers to the Song..." link would be great, if there is an article for the song itself already. 64.9.97.44 (talk) 01:48, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm very sure that I read that plot of the movie was inspired by the lyrics from the song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.140.174.99 (talk) 21:57, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Karmann Ghia[edit]

Despite being said to be rather poor, Andie Walsh drives a vintage sports car—a very 80's "dusty rose" pink Volkswagen Karmann Ghia.

At the time of the movie, Karmann Ghias were at a low point in value and certainly weren't considered a "vintage sports car" by automotive enthusiasts. Not to insult them, but they are basically gussied-up VW Beetles (which they were based on). It's really not unrealistic for Andie to have been driving one, especially one that was in the condition shown in the movie. Thus, I think this bit of "trivia" should be eliminated.

"Hancock Park High School"[edit]

There is no "Hancock Park High School" in Los Angeles. Was the film actually shot at Los Angeles High School, just south of the Hancock Park district in Mid-City; Fairfax High; or perhaps at the Marlborough School, a private high school in Hancock Park? --69.220.180.2 08:37, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

I just read today that "The movie was filmed in the same high school as Grease." (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 13:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC))
