Untitled[edit]

I have begun this page again because Propellerhead are a respected and prominent software developer and their products are extremely popular. I'm sure the page was poor in the past. So far I've just made a very brief page with information off the top of my head, but I will return soon to hopefully make this page worthy of staying from now on!--Mrtombullen 00:09, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Restored per deletion review Night Gyr (talk/Oy) 00:36, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have made an edit of the "History" section, correcting some previously incorrect dates, based on the company's timeline. For full disclosure, I want to make it known that this edit is on behalf of Propellerhead Software, for who I do freelance work on a regular basis. I will refrain from making any non-minor edits to this or related pages, based on the suggestions in the "Fix it yourself" section on the Factual error (from enterprise) page. -- Alimony (talk) 17:10, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, I have changed the company logo to the one currently in use, as the previous one was outdated. -- Alimony (talk) 14:27, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Propellerheadsoftwarelogo.GIF[edit]

Image:Propellerheadsoftwarelogo.GIF is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Rebranding Question[edit]

A bit of a strange one this. Propellerhead Software have rebranded as Reason Studios, and the article says as much. However, should we not update the name of the page too? --sugarfish (talk) 23:26, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 18 October 2019[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page to the proposed title at this time. If reintroducing this request in the future, please provide evidence of usage from independent, reliable sources as suggested below. Dekimasuよ! 14:04, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Propellerhead SoftwareReason Studios – Company was renamed. See this press release: Propellerhead Becomes Reason Studios. Thank you. Schnårbøff (talk) 21:53, 18 October 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:41, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: The provided rationale says nothing about the common name of the topic in independent reliable sources. Self-declared rebrandings impose no obligation to change Wikipedia article titles. —BarrelProof (talk) 13:17, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I cannot find a single mention of the name change in any reliable sources and there are various mentions on many unreliable sites in the past month referring to the old name. Also, press releases are generally not considered to be very reliable. UaMaol (talk) 03:58, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Reason (software)[edit]

Seeing as Reason doesn't have a standalone wiki page (assuming at some point it was merged with Propellerhead, which then became this page?), then this page appears to be the only place to hold all the information that would be on a typical software page. Could we add a Reason Realease History section and a Reason Reception section? See some of these for comparison: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Digital_audio_workstations Kansaikiwi (talk) 21:56, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
