Untitled[edit]

"The initial release was mostly ignored, mainly because The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released around the same time."

The games weren't released at the same time. Ocarina of Time was released in November and Holy Magic Century was released around June in the U.S. I think this part of the text should be removed from the article. Vic729 July 23,2006 10:02 P.M. EDT.

"Quest 64 eventually went on to be elected the 43rd President of the United States and is held in high regard by many world leaders, including failed election rival George W. Bush."

This looks like vandalism... Someone should revert to an olrder version.

The whole reception paragraph was vandalism created by the same user in several edits. The game did not score the "perfect" scores like it mentioned. In fact, reception was rather average to below average as shown here. Edits have been reverted. -HumanZoom 06:56, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the debate was Move. —Wknight94 (talk) 02:05, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

Holy Magic CenturyQuest 64 – The game has two different English versions, "Holy Magic Century" in Europe, and "Quest 64" in the States and Australia. From what I have seen on the Internet, it is more well known as Quest 64, and the American version was in fact released before the European version. TJ Spyke 21:13, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support, I was not the one who suggested the move, I was just adding this since the person who did suggest the move didn't add this in. TJ Spyke 21:14, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, For the aforementioned reasons. Quest 64 is better known IMO and was released first under that name. -HumanZoom 00:48, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Quest 64 seems to be the more well-known title, and it also gets more Google hits. Wehpudicabok 21:48, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism[edit]

"The only way to save game progress is to talk to the owner of an inn in a town. This latter can be particularly tedious for a player who is stuck in a remote area and needs to stop playing."

Why is this a problem? You get a free inn teleportation item at every inn. You can just use it and be right back at the inn. Ziiv (talk) 14:44, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Have you played the game? If you haven't you should know there are several two hour annoying dungeons that if you "Warp back to the Inns" you have to do the 2 hour dungeon all over again. This game is almost universally agreed to be the worst Nintendo 64 game ever. It also has no ending resolution. --68.219.63.145 (talk) 20:20, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ever played Lufia II's Ancient Cave? Or any decent NES RPG? There's just no point in critizising the save system. Also, Dual Heroes or Superman 64 should be more promising candidates for the worst N64 game. Don Cuan (talk) 22:14, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't calling Quest 64 "the worst Nintendo 64 game ever" a bit unfair? Sure, the save system was a bit outdated, and the ending didn't have much of a resolution, but there are worse games than Quest 64. I agree with Don Cuan in the regard that Dual Heroes and Superman 64 are more promising candidates for the "Worst N64 Game Ever" Award. I have to admit though, since I'm enjoying my fifth play-through of Quest 64 while I'm writing this, my opinions probably should not be taken seriously. --67.166.207.210 (talk) 21:10, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The criticism section is a review in itself. Isn't it supposed to reflect what game magazines, websites, etc. thought about the game when it was released?
Yes, it is. I've fixed that section.--24.60.220.148 (talk) 15:39, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
