1984 Anderlecht-Tottenham bribery[edit]

Why is there no note about the 1984 game between Andelecht and Tottenham. In which Andelecht's manager Constant Vanden Stock bribed the referee (1.000.000 BEF)? He openly admitted this in 1995. I believe this is a important fact that should be mentioned.

There was but someone removed it some days ago. I readded this stuff now. Julien Tuerlinckx 23:33, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Cédric Ciza[edit]

Cédric Ciza is Burundian, but also Belgian, as he played for the U-21 team. Both flags should be there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.73.100.130 (talk) 19:24, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:RSC Anderlecht.png[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

Image:RSC Anderlecht.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:17, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Superleague Formula templates[edit]

I've started a discussion about the use of the Superleague Formula templates on football club articles at Template talk:Superleague Formula following some discussion at Talk:Tottenham Hotspur F.C.. Since this article features the template, your views would be welcome. Cordless Larry (talk) 21:34, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Do you see them as a Flemish team?[edit]

Böri (talk) 14:05, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

Brussels, if anything. What's wrong with being a Belgian team? WardMuylaert (talk) 15:57, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

Toulon Tournament[edit]

Anderlecht also won the Toulon Tournament in 1967. It was the first edition and only club teams participated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Electroluki (talkcontribs) 11:10, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Language policy[edit]

do they have a language policy? at fc barcelona they speak spanish (castilian) as far as i know, not catalan and foreign players are required to learn spanish. brussels is a bilingual town. so is french or dutch the dominant language?--Severino (talk) 18:14, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. Suggest revisiting in a month or two, but next time please do it as a multi-move rather than listing a dozen separate RMs all with the same rationale. Jenks24 (talk) 14:39, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

R.S.C. AnderlechtRSC Anderlecht — Most sources refer to RSC Anderlecht, not R.S.C. Anderlecht (see their Official website and UEFA page). 17:53, 25 May 2014 (UTC).

  • Support move. Also, I think that this is how the Manual of Style recommends to write abbreviations. Coreyemotela (talk) 20:18, 25 May 2014 (UTC).
  • Oppose - as unnecessary. There is no clear consensus on this and it is my understanding that either is acceptable. Some people say that as an abbreviation it should have the ".", others not. Fenix down (talk) 09:24, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
  • Oppose - unnecessary and inconsistent. Have a look also at Talk:Manchester_United_F.C./Archive_12#Requested_move. --Pelotastalk|contribs 18:46, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
