Notability / Redirect[edit]

The number of sources and content justify its current state of existence. Additionally, how am I able to add any content if it keeps getting reverted to a redirect by the time I save it? Zach Vega (talk to me) 09:32, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want me to not revert you, just put a {{in use}} or {{under construction}}. Then I am aware you are working on the article. — Tomíca(T2ME) 10:08, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Homophobia criticisms[edit]

Not for nothing, but where is the mention of the criticism for use of homophobic slurs within the song that is currently making news? It can have its sentence on being praised generally, but you can't ignore the backlash coming from the gay community which is currently making news (a Google news search should lead anyone to legitimate news sources to verify the criticisms over content).174.126.239.232 (talk) 10:19, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There's not really a point of putting a criticism of homophobic slurs on every Eminem article in which he says "faggot" or "gay". Wikipedia can't have every possible opinion on everything. From the man himself about undue weight:

If a viewpoint is held by an extremely small (or vastly limited) minority, it does not belong in Wikipedia regardless of whether it is true or not and regardless of whether you can prove it or not, except perhaps in some ancillary article.

The song has been receiving extremely positive critical reception, and a criticism from a small group because he says "faggots" isn't significant enough to mention in critical reception. Zach Vega (talk to me) 19:06, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The homophobic lyrics controversy should be included. Look at all these credible sources, documenting and/or criticizing the lyrics:

Eminem has even responded himself to the criticisms on Rolling Stone:nischaycs@gmail.com≈ http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/exclusive-eminem-responds-to-rap-god-homophobia-accusations-20131104 Soulbust (talk) 00:40, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

With that amount of coverage in reliable sources, and a response by the artist, it should definitely be included in the article. STATic message me! 00:50, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Any need to include Hotstylez diss?[edit]

How many words?[edit]

The article contradicts itself, stating the song contains both 1551 and 1560 words in different places in the article. Is this an error, or is there another explanation? like different versions of the song, or disagreement on if something is one or two words etc, but it's not explained, and both quote Guinness World Records so they should be the same?  Carlwev  08:33, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

World record reverts[edit]

I have edited the part about the world record and it being beaten by Harry Shotta at least 4 times over the last few months and it always gets deleted immediately, anyone know why this might be? I am completely and utterly new to editing wiki articles though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clarkey1984 (talkcontribs) 16:53, May 6, 2018 (UTC)

If, when looking at the article, you click the "History" tab, you will see all of the edits.
When you first made the change, you weren't logged in, so your IP address shows. The next edit is Oshwah reverting your edit with a comment that you had added new material without citing a reliable source. Oshwah also added a note to the IP talk page (here) explaining that.
You then added the same material using your new account. Koala15 then reverted your edit. They neglected to use an edit summary or add a note to your talk page. I'd imagine it's for the same reason. - SummerPhDv2.0 01:00, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is not the current world record[edit]

Harry Shotta pushes boundaries on 'Animal' as he hammers out a World Record of 1,771 words on the track, beating Eminem's previous record of 1,560 with 'Rap God'

Mr. Cii Remix[edit]

I think there needs to be a bit for the remix included on Curtain Call 2 Ginger Eminem (talk) 16:34, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
