[edit] Incorrect listing

Mcafee should not be there in the list of free antispyware with real-time protection. It is well known Mcafee is never free. There is no reference given either. That [4] for reference leads to mcafee website. It needs correction. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.169.175.158 (talk) 04:01, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] About Real-time protection list of free antispyware programs with real-time protection

I agree with 98.169.175.158, McAfee Total Protection[1] is not free.

And I don't think that BitDefender Free[2] has Real-time protection against spyware, unless it is referring to BitDefender Anti-Phishing Free Edition toolbar[3].SJSF (talk) 01:14, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] BitDefender Free does not have Real-time protection.

This is the product description from their website:

(Product Description: BitDefender Free Edition is your chance to use one of the world's most effective antivirus engines for free!

BitDefender Free Edition uses the same ICSA Labs certified scanning engines found in other BitDefender products, allowing you to enjoy basic virus protection for no cost at all.

BitDefender Free Edition is an on-demand virus scanner, which is best used in a system recovery or forensics role. If you are on an "always-on" Internet connection, we strongly advise you to consider using a more complex antivirus solution.)[[4]] SJSF (talk) 23:29, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Norton 360 is not free.

Norton 360 does not belong in a list of free anti-virus software. It costs $79.99 United States Dollars.[[5]] If someone wants to list it, it needs to be listed in a section of paid anti-virus software.
