Is this article necessary?[edit]

This ia frankly a pretty crummy article. I'm not sure I see a reason for this topic to be an article at all; the topic is probably better covered in articles on specific religions or types of music. I would vote for merging any useful material to other articles and then getting rid of this one. --Brianyoumans 02:43, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I have added links to better articles elsewhere on most of the topics; perhaps this article is useful as a directory to articles elsewhere. It still needs a lot of improvement. --Brianyoumans 22:01, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Seven years later, I still think this is a lousy article. There are a zillion different types of religious music worldwide, and trying to cover them, even as an overview, in one article is pretty ludicrous.Brianyoumans (talk) 03:44, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
