Untitled[edit]

there is some discussion about merging in with the Alcoa page. I think that would be terribly wrong. While there is important information on reynolds after merger with Alcoa, the information that happened before the merger is completely different. The companies were intense competitors and operated with different styles, and to merge them would be confusing.

There is much info that needs to be added to the reynolds page; it will take some time to do that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BrandlandUSA (talkcontribs)

Aluminium[edit]

Most of the aluminum should be changed to aluminium.--Stone (talk) 20:20, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, aluminum can't be changed to aluminium because, as everyone knows, transatlantication of elements is impossible. EEng (talk) 23:34, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Auckland, New Zealand-based=[edit]

I think this should be changed. What do others think? 121.98.83.76 (talk) 11:04, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Inaccuracies/Notability=[edit]

The page contains some good information but may not meet wipkipedia notability guidelines [[1]] It also containes some inaccuracies, but much of the information cannot be documented. The company that owns Reynolds Wrap(R) aluminum foil is now called Reynolds Consumer Products Inc [[2]] although no press release has been issued.

{Disclosure: I have a close connection to the subject matter, but am committed to objectivity and consensus of the Wikipedia community. Please let me know if you need more information). I agree with the unsigned poster above that the page does not meet notibility guidelines. Also agreed: there are inaccuracies and omissions that cannot be documented. The page appears to have begun as a history of Reynolds Metals Company; but no documentation of operations by Alcoa are included. (Reynolds Metals documented at its peak, plus Alcoa, minus Alcoa, does not equal Reynolds Group Holdings, which presumably had other history.) I propose to either strike entirely for notability or redact to the point where Alcoa purchased Reynolds Metals for historical purposes. How does the community handle these decisions? Thanks much for your help. Polly Ethylene 21:48, 18 March 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Polly Ethylene (talkcontribs)
