I am extremely confused. Rhizobacteria is same as PGPR?[edit]

The article says "Rhizobacteria are often referred to as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria, or PGPRs." ( Permalink : https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rhizobacteria&oldid=820983802 ). But in the book Azospirillum/Plant Associations edited by Yaacov Okon ; there is an article by Joseph W. Kloepper (Chapter 9, page 139) he writes

"Rhizobacteria may exert one of three kinds of effects in inoculated host plant: Deleterious, neutral or beneficial. Beneficial rhizobacteria are called Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria
(PGPR)".

In another paper by Kloepper et al, Plant root-bacterial interactions in biological control of soilborne diseases and potential extension to systemic and foliar diseases, by J. W. Kloepper , R.Rodriguez-K. Abana, G.W.Zehnder", J.F.Murphy, E. Sikora- and C. Fernandez (Kloeppe, J.W., Rodríguez-Kábana, R., Zehnder, A.W. et al. Australasian Plant Pathology (1999) 28: 21. https://doi.org/10.1071/AP99003), they wrote:

"Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) Rhizobacteria which exert a beneficial effect on the plant being colonised are termed 'Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria."

So it seems they used the term "Rhizobacteria" and "PGPR". So I request attention for improvement of this article with clarifying the terms and definitions. May be some other author also used the term "PGPR" as same with "Rhizobacteria"? I acknowledge, buzzwords are less important than concepts. But until and unless buzzwords are being clarified, misconception and mistakes will happen, sometimes accidents, too. 2405:204:440C:3D81:5D6:F3A5:A2A0:849B (talk) 12:53, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Qessaoui[edit]

Hello @MFreya: I don't think Qessaoui is a good source to use here. Without WP:SECONDARY citations we can't be certain of its reliability. Invasive Spices (talk) 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Apologies, now updated with secondary sources. MFreya (talk) 18:59, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
