"Much has been written about these men" (but not here)[edit]

Since this is supposed to be an encyclopedia, it might be of interest to some readers to note how Mr. Wilkerson came to be in Angola and for what crime (assuming there was a crime) he was exonerated. --CliffC (talk) 01:01, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He was exonerated?[edit]

The third member of the "Angola Three" spent 29 years in isolation before his conviction was overturned in 2001. Robert King, known as Robert King Wilkerson in the 1970s, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and was freed.

Mr King was offered a plea of 'accessory to murder' in exchange for his freedom after 29 years in prison. This was then changed at the hearing to 'conspiracy to commit murder'. Name[edit]

According to King's own Web site, he no longer goes by the name "Robert King Wilkerson". He has changed his name to "Robert Hillary King". http://www.kingsfreelines.com/node/2 Proxy User (talk) 16:55, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding citation flags...[edit]

The page currently has a bulk list of references rather than individual citations. Likely due to editor inexperience. If someone has the time/energy to go through and assign the reference entries as citations I'm guessing things will sort out. --Kevjonesin (talk) 20:45, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In the opening paragraph, it indicates "He was innocent" Innocent of what? Shouldn't what he was innocent of be listed before the "He was innocent" statement, i.e. list the charge or charges.
