"Rolling Stone" (covered by Muddy Waters and which inspired The Rolling Stones very name)
I just spent a few hours researching the song "Catfish Blues" by Robert Petway and it's possible relationship to "Rollin Stone" by Muddy Waters. I spent so much time that I even made an article for Petway and made a section covering the dispute over whether the Peyton song was the source of the Muddy Waters song. From what I can tell, Rev. Wilkinson's song "Rolling Stone" came out in 1928, so it certainly is early than the either two songs, but when the lyrics of each song are compared, the only thing I see in common between "Rolling Stone" and "Rollin' Stone" is the title. Please compare the "Rolling Stone" lyrics and the "Rollin' Stone" lyrics. I hesitate to make the edit right out, since the past few hours of research have taught me that there is a lot of ambiguity and uncertainty in the early history of the blue. But unless some source can be cited that shows some evidence that the two songs are related and don't just have the same name, the line needs to be removed. Crazytonyi 08:24, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Image:Robert Wilkins.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
