INFORMATION TO BE ADDED TO PARLIAMENTARY CAREER: During her time in Parliament, Blackman-Woods served as a Deputy Minister in Gordon Brown’s Government, a Shadow Minister, and was a member of a number of select committees, including education and science and technology. She was also the a member of the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology Board, and was Chair or Vice Chair of several All-Party Parliamentary Groups, including the All-Party Parliamentary Universities Group and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on the United Nations. Blackman-Woods was also an active member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and the International Parliamentary Union throughout her Parliamentary career. Hi Nick, thanks for using this procedure.

I've made most, I think, of those changes. I think "academic and former Labour Party politician" is the correct framing - her notability is mostly related to her political career.

I don't quite agree with the suggestion of cutting out the chronological specifics of her parliamentary career to the extent that you suggest, but I've rearranged a bit and cut out some bits that seemed extraneous, polemic or unsourced. (Sourcing isn't great throughout, but can be improved.) If there are specific remaining inaccuracies, could you point them out? TSP (talk) 16:06, 18 December 2019 (UTC)

PROPOSED CHANGE:

INFORMATION TO BE DELETED FROM PARLIAMENTARY CAREER: In 2021 it was reported that Blackman-Woods had bullied two of her staff and that the Labour Party had first heard allegations about her behaviour in 2018.

INFORMATION TO BE ADDED TO PARLIAMENTARY CAREER: In 2021 it was reported that Blackman-Woods had been subject to an investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards. The Commissioner applied no sanctions to Blackman-Woods, who stated there was "strong medical reasons' for the issues that were raised.

EXPLANATION OF ISSUE: Misleading entry as does not refer to the investigation. Also, misleading use of allegation about her behaviour in 2018. Implication that no action was taken when the investigation in fact took a year.
