User:Jkmaskell, you deleted the text about van Kampen's most notable game game of his young career. Some information about the game is certainly warranted, as is the reference to Korchnoi, since he played that opening against Timman. Per the Wikipedia:Dispute_resolution page, you should first:

"When you find a passage in an article that is biased or inaccurate, improve it if you can; don't delete salvageable text. For example, if an article appears biased, add balancing material or make the wording more neutral. Include citations for any material you add. If you do not know how to fix a problem, ask for help on the talk page. To help other editors understand the reasoning behind your edits, always explain your changes in the edit summary. If an edit is too complex to explain in an edit summary, or the change is contentious, add a section to the talk page that explains your rationale. Be prepared to justify your changes to other editors on the talk page. If you are reverted, continue to explain yourself; do not start an edit war." Piewalker 00:29, 23 June 2015 (UTC)-Piewalker

The section about Jan Timman is rambling and the analysis can be considered original research. If there is a cite for the analysis provided, it would be best to simply have the reference added rather than all the text. If the game is so notable, then a reference should be added, given the weight given to it in the article (a chessgames link does not make a game notable). Furthermore, the fact that Korchnoi played the opening has no relevance in an article about van Kampen. The article is unbalanced, having a section far too large about a match which he lost. The tone throughout the article is biased, in fact almost fanboy-ish. Jkmaskell (talk) 07:50, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
