First new part complete[edit]

Today's news says that the first new stretch to Rechov Yerushalayim has been put into operation. http://www.globes.co.il/en/article-new-road-relieves-raanana-traffic-jams-1001095583 Will start to get that updated if I can figure it out. Saxophonemn (talk) 08:57, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like the Hebrew version of the page measures the distances differently. I'm almost tempted to drive out there right now to see what's accurate.Saxophonemn (talk) 09:14, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the distances differ. I created the distances based on lengths given by the Ministry of Transport documents. However, the distance of only the straightaway segment of the highway is not an accurate measure. I therefore added the distance from the very beginning of the highway (based on maps) to include driving through most of the massive future interchange with the Ayalon (Highway 20). I did this after discussions with several veteran admins at "WikiProject Highways". My measurements of various highways have always been extremely accurate compared to actual driving. Until the new interchange is built, we won't know for sure. Happy trails! --@Efrat (talk) 21:58, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
