I [edit]
I have taken out the bit about it not being as old as the RCSE: this article is about The RCP, not about Scottish nationalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.42.233.125 (talk • contribs)
Quite right. The Barber-Surgeons of Dublin got their charter from the Lord of Ireland (AKA King Henry VI of England) before the surgeons of Edinburgh got theirs from the King of Scotland. NRPanikker (talk) 18:54, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

1674 By Henry VIII? [edit]
I'm not an expert on this subject, but someone needs to fix that date, and/or the person. There's no need to state that Henry VIII was long dead by 1674? Is it Charles II that gave the charter, or is it the date that's wrong, if not both? Just felt the need to point that out LeftAire (talk) 20:57, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
