Talk:Russefeiring

This page was created to match the norwegian wiki page of the same name, describing the norwegian high-school graduation ceremony. It was copied from the russ page, which should be limited to describing the participants in that ceremony, which its name refers to.

This page is messy, linguisticaly inadequate, and contains misinformation, exaggerations, opinionated information, and local traditions claimed to be national traditions. I have therefore left a quality warning on it. I hope to get around to rectifying some of these problems one day soon, if nobody beats me to it. If you can, you should go to the norwegian article instead, which is of much better quality.

Also, the swedish "studenten" and danish "rus" traditions, which are related but carry different names and are very different in character, should have their own pages and should not be included in this one.

Under "Miscellaneous" I'm adding the green russ as alternative color for finishing first 10 grades / Middle School.

I'm also suggesting that under "Miscellaneous" the text "These celebrations have not become very common." is changed to "These celebrations seems to be less common than they used to be". For references check any 40 - 60 year old that finished middle school at least at the west coast where I became a green russ some years later.
