Statistics seem to be proper, but more information is needed about the group's formation, record-label contracting, &c. For purposes of a Wikipedia article, fan data is extraneous; unfortunately, fansite data tends to be hyped to excess in the Japanese pop music world and not enough emphasis made on the facts critical to an encyclopedic article. Clean up[edit]

If this no longer needs cleaning up, I would like a Wiki expert to remove the clean up message and do whatever else is necessary to ensure that this article is marked as clean. Illusionz 08.02.2005

The article still needs serious cleanup! But as long as it's marked as a stub, that should be good enough. However, I think it's important to point out that most of the information here is trivia, non-notable, and non-encylopedic. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As for the Best Artist awards attributed to the Kayousai Festival (viz., for 2005 and 2006), I found no refernce in the original article. Question about "Ame Ato" CD citation[edit]

Noticed that when giving CD information for "Ame Ato", the person cited the Soundtrack for the anime, "Hitman Tutor REBORN!" that used this song instead of one of the 2 ep's, a "Regular Edition" with CD only and a "Limited Edition" with bonus DVD, that are available. Shouldn't the most relevant CD be used when citing? The CD that is listed (the soundtrack to the anime) is probably not widely available and probably not the best choice to use for citing. Thank you for raising the concern. I'm waiting for the new data myself, concerning Seventh Ave., for which I haven't a track listing as of 00:04, 11 June 2008 (UTC). It is possible that "Ame ato" will be included on Seventh Ave., much as "Speed of Light" showed up on the Reimy studio album Smooth Talk after first appearing on the Atlantic Records Japan soundtrack album a·ki·re·ta–DEKA — Original Soundtrack back in 1987; Debbie Gibson - Out of the Blue was released in Japan only after a·ki·re·ta–DEKA — Original Soundtrack was already out. Yes, "Ame Ato" will be on "Seventh Ave.". It was released as the first single (with two other songs) as an ep, available in the two versions mentioned above. I'm sorry, that's what I meant when I said that the most relevant album/cd should be used instead of the soundtrack, because the "Ame Ato" ep's (Regular and Limited Edition versions) are widely available for sale, and have also been available from the Japanese iTunes store for a couple of months. I didn't mean to use "Seventh Ave." as the citation because it hasn't been released yet ... my bad wording.

Here is the tracklisting, which I hope is correct:

The "Hitman Tudor REBORN!" anime actually has a different opening and ending song each week. Lead Singer Keita Tachibana had his song "Michishirube", from his solo album "Koe", used as well. Still no word if the July 2, 2008 is the offical release date, but checking different sources, so far is seems to be. Yes, it get's confusing with release dates. Cyndi Lauper had one of her albums released only in Japan a couple of years ago, and it was recently released in America on iTunes. Fans thought that it was actually new, when in fact it had been out for quite a while. Merger proposal[edit]

I tried expanding Ryohei Chiba's biography, but I feel that he is not notable enough to have an article (unlike Keita Tachibana who has an active solo career and Ryuichi Ogata, who is involved in multiple music projects). Title of article[edit]

@Explicit: I moved the article to "Winds (Japanese band)" because of MOS:JAPAN#Titles of media and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Titles#Typographic effects, whereas the group is pronounced "winds." You noted in the article rename that reliable English sources use "W-inds." Can you name any? "w-inds." is used by Billboard [1] and the Manila Bulletin [2], while "W-inds" or "w-inds" is used by The Philippine Star [3], Business Times [4], that's Shanghai [5], The Korea Times [6], The Japan Times [7], MTV Asia [8], and so on. Ə XPLICIT 01:42, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
