Judge of High court and Supreme court[edit]

The articles says he was made permanent judge of Karnataka High court in 1998. But it also says he was made Supreme court judge in 1997. How is this possible? A person cannot be judge of both the courts at the same time. Neither can he first become judge of supreme court and then high court.124.124.230.149 (talk) 07:20, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
