Proposing split[edit]

Since Sac and Fox Nation is a specific tribe, perhaps there should be an articles for Sac and Fox peoples today. It might be a little redundant since articles about Sac (people) and Meskwaki people already exist. Eventually, hopefully, there would be articles for Sac and Fox Nation of Missouri in Kansas and Nebraska and Sac and Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa as well. -Uyvsdi (talk) 19:49, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Uyvsdi[reply]

Use of the word "Sac"[edit]

I have replaced the word "Sac" with "Sauk" when specifically referring to the Sauk people. It is not proper to refer to Sauk people as "Sac." Sac is the term settlers and government officials used when referring to the Sauk and Fox people and the term is acceptable only when referring to the Sauk and Meskwaki as a single tribe, Sac & Fox. —64.19.102.80 (talk)

Missing decades of history[edit]

The history here skips over Kansas in the 1850s and 1860s entirely without a mention, and goes straight to Iowa. There was a reservation in Kansas in Franklin County, that was displaced to Osage County in 1863 so that Greenwood Township, Franklin County, Kansas could be settled in its place starting that year and organized in 1865. This is in plenty of Kansas history books, starting with but by no means limited to Andreas 1883, p. 621, along with the Indian agent and his buildings, the stage company, and the moves into and out of Quenemo, Kansas.
