Untitled[edit]

I'm not a fan of this guy, but someone needs to add a little bit of balance to the article.

okay[edit]

I'll try to make time to update the article.

Status in Al-Qaeda?! So, now you're presenting it as a fact that this person was somehow part of Al-Qaeda? Not every Islamist cleric who once opposed the Saudi regime is automatically part of Al-Qaeda. Slackerlawstudent 17:55, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, strike "status"; I mean his reputation among al-Qaeda members declined badly when -- under pressure form Riyadh and for no other reason -- he mildly objected to the Riyadh compound bombings, and was then denounced by other bloodthirsty clerics including the Qaida writer al-Jarbu. His open letter to Osama bin Laden should give an indication towards his stance on previously discussed issues. Aiabgold (talk) 07:33, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He has changed his stance over the years. http://www.alwatan.com.kw/%2fData%2fSite1%2fArticles%2f581934%2f2.pc.jpg

Merging Salman al-Ouda with Salman Al-Audah[edit]

Appears to be the same individual. If there are no objections, I will merge them. Twalls (talk) 14:29, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've done so. The cleanup process is ongoing. Twalls (talk) 06:28, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

restructured; TODO: quality of refs, cn, need work[edit]

I've done a general restructure of this article, since personal life, publishing/points of view, and career/oppression were all mixed up, and the fact that al-Ouda played a major role in what is claimed to have been the first organised opposition to the Saudi government - in 1993 - was missing from the summary. There's still plenty of work to do, though a lot would need Arabic language competence, in terms of checking the references, finding/adding citations, and being a bit more strict in terms of what is acceptable Wikipedia content.
