Name of the article[edit]

I find the name of this article a bit puzzling. No literature that I have available mention this event by this name. The event is always refered to as an attack on the Fortaleza. Uprising implies that the masses are involved which is not the case here. Joelito (talk) 03:25, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • While it is true that the incident which occurred in San Juan on October 30, 1950, is referred mostly to as "the attack on the Fortaleza" on most articles, these rarely mention what went on other parts of San Juan, such as the intended attack of the Federal Court House and so on, focusing only on the Forteza attack. The San Juan Uprising was within the planned uprisings of Nationalist Party in which the general masses were not involved. The thing is that this article does not focus solely on the attack of La Fortaleza, and therefore naming it "Attack of La Fortaleza" would in a way be misleading. I have, however created a redirect titled "Attack of La Fortaleza" towards this article. Tony the Marine (talk) 03:46, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Then nationalist attacks on San Juan seems an appropiate title. Joelito (talk) 19:40, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • The "Nationalist attacks on San Juan" does sound reasonable. Not bad at all, I will make the move. Thanks for your imput. Tony the Marine (talk) 23:51, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is it just me...[edit]

...or is this a wildly biased article? Seems very left-leaning in parts, even the "further reading" suggestion (which announces its bias in the title). A2Kafir (and...?) 19:49, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Wikipedia is an encyclopedia which is based on facts backed up by reliable verifiable sources. When historical events, which have been hidden from the public, come out to the surface, they are often labeled as biased by those who refuse to accept the truth which they did not know. Left wing and right wing are labels invented by those who can not accept facts which go against their believes. In the school history books of the 1960s the contributions made by the Afro-Americans were not even mentioned and the same goes now to the contributions made by the Hispanic-Americans in the US. It is articles like this one that make people think and realize that sometimes what they have been told or taught is not necessarily the truth.
