Fair use rationale for Image:Rat Pack.jpg[edit]

Image:Rat Pack.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. I meant the original film, never seen the Clooney and Pitt one! It was also parodied in Deep Space Nine's episode Badda-Bing Badda-Bang, where Sinatra is a regular parodied character in the show! JAGUAR  11:52, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • "and shady people like Mike Shapiro, Ed Levinson, and Syd Wineman" - 'shady' is a bit unencyclopaedic, I don't know who these people are as they're all red links and their job titles are unclear - were they from the mobsters etc?

  • "and Ray Sinatra and his Orchestra were the initial house band" - orchestra doesn't need to be capitalised here

It's redundant to say it again though. "From 2 to 9 %" is fine I think.

This is a very well researched and well written article, I enjoyed reading it! Sinatra sounded like he owned the place! I have been watching the progress with the article over the past week and am impressed with how comprehensive it has become. Comment For a few years, Sinatra did own the place--at least a small bit of it. The business had a system by which stars received "points" (a percentage of ownership) for performing there on a regular basis. This is how Sinatra's share in the Sands went from 2 to 9 percent--contracting to do regular appearances there. The law ordered him to sell the shares of it in 1963 because he was associated with mobster Sam Giancana. If Sinatra had gone on his tear a few years earlier, he could at least have claimed he was destroying his own property. :) We hope (talk) 12:42, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It would have been funny if he would have damaged his own property LOL! I've saved that playlist to my favourites so hopefully I can have that playing in the background while I edit.
