Does anyone know? Where does the name "Seemingly unrelated regression" come from?

The name first appeared in Zellner (1962), and he didn’t go into details why he called it such. Maybe it's obvious: the equations are “seemingly unrelated” ?  // stpasha »  18:14, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
