Initial bloody diarhea is not due to the toxin?[edit]

"The first response is commonly a bloody diarrhea. This is because Shiga toxin is usually taken in with contaminated food or water." This may need a citation. I would think diarhea would ensue due to the hemorhagic effect even without contaminated food or water.Eaberry (talk) 00:17, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
