Sidamo "languages"

[edit]

It's true that earlier records were very confused on what Sidamo should refer to, but in Ethiopia today, the term clearly refers to one East Cushitic language. (I just edited the page to fix this.) -- MikeGasser (talk) 00:05, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Sidamo" or "Sidamuafo"?

[edit]

The change from "Sidamo" to "Sidamuafo" requires evidence. This new spelling is not found anywhere on the Web, not even the Ethnologue. It is probably more appropriate to list "Sidamuafo" as a self-name and alternate spelling (maybe along with "Sidama"), but unless the editor presents strong evidence soon, I will revert this change.Pete unseth (talk) 14:13, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Literacy statistics

[edit]

The article says that non-native speakers of the language have a higher literacy rate in it than native-speakers. This seems odd. Is there solid evidence of this?? Pete unseth (talk) 20:03, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
