Someone added the following to the article, and another user reverted it:

"A serious allegation surfaced shortly before the announcement of the final results. First published by the ruling party's mouthpiece, it was later taken up by the country's leading local newspaper, the Awareness Times. It was alleged that the United Nations and certain members of the local international community had undertaken moves described as "criminal conduct" designed to ensure that the ruling SLPP Party was removed. Described as Regime Change Agenda piloted by the Executive Representative of the United Nations' Secretary General Victor Angelo, the Awareness Times published and many people believed that the elections were marked by deeply fraudulent actions undertaken by the United Nations Team on behalf of the APC."

This is something we should include, in some form or another. I've been a bit of a wimp about not wading into it when writing the article. Of course, it needs references, but they can be found at news.sl. I will try adding some if no one else gets around to it. Everyking 09:49, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That was me. If it is at all truthful, it should be included. I just think that without a source, it is a strong allegation with no backing. "It is alleged" is an extremely ambiguous statement. Thank you for continuing to work on this, Everyking. --Aranae 13:44, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
