Untitled[edit]

Author should add mention of this Silvanus on the Silvanus disambig page. --Halidecyphon 15:50, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

Should this be merged with Silas?--Andrew c 22:13, 23 June 2006 (UTC) As far as I know, YES.

By all means, YES. Actually this article has no solid basis whatsoever.--Dampinograaf (talk) 10:45, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Citation needed[edit]

He later became Bishop of Thessalonika and died a martyr.

  • Reference in article is too recent. Who in church history was the first to claim that Silvanus became bishop?

Silvanus is probably the same person as Silas, also mentioned in various places in the New Testament.

  • Who says that is probably the case? Here recent academic references are okay.
