[edit] COOOOOOOL!
This sport sound so much fun! I wish this was put in major cities too!
[edit] Is this still around?
I just recalled this show and looked it up. The main article makes it seem like the show is still around but I don't think it is in the US... Any news on the British show and if new seasons are being played? Smoove K 12:31, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
It's here in Italy, which is actually where I first learned about it (I live in the States), but I don't know if it's current (i.e. old games with Italian dubbing). --Rob1n 11:50, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Actually it is still around!! They do occasionally slam dunk cometition, but other than that play regular seasons.--Panicpack
The 2008 season was shown here in australia, so it must still be around. They show it on Fuel TV Portillo (talk) 00:50, 3 November 2008 (UTC) yeah i dont think its in the US anynore gshji
- It's on Cartoon Network ("CN Real") airing re-runs from the 2008 season on Versus. It is supposed that there will be a 2009 season with new episodes once the repeats are done. ShinyHubCaps (talk) 03:27, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] I dig this sport
They need to put this sport in major cities.
[edit] Subjective, Citation
Subjective text needs to be cleaned up and reworded, examples:
where it picked up a substantial British fanbase built a beautiful new court of the rapidly growing sport
sadly this did not happen. This doesn't belong in an encyclopedia. wiki is not a marketing platform and this sounds like it was cut and paste from a press release.
Also this article needs citation. A lot of claims are made and no sources are provided. --Crossmr 19:28, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] the sport
can any one put the rules of the sport and how it is played here. this needs to be more about the sport and less about the league.--Thugchildz
- I'm fairly certain that the sport is patented by the same people who ran the league (like Arena Football and the Arena Football League), essentially making the two one in the same. - Ecksem Diem 11:18, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Information Needs Verified
"In Italy SlamBall made its debut on Italia 1 on July 16th, 2007 gaining impressive ratings and media fervor. Plans for a new season are in motion with an International model as the basis for the new league structure."
I have yet to hear any information on this. Is there a link to this information? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.78.46.95 (talk) 22:47, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Websites
http://www.geocities.com/kairo28dk http://www.geocities.com/slamball28
These are the best sites for information regarding the 2002 and 2003 seasons, respectively.
Also, why is Slamball the Magazine linked? It has nothing to do with Slamball. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.141.200.95 (talk) 05:42, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] 4x3?
The positions section says there are 4 players, and 3 positions, and doesn't mention there being two of either. Anyone care to explain?
- There is one handler, one stopper, and two gunners. I thought that was indicated in the article, but I could be wrong. ShinyHubCaps (talk) 03:17, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, teams can choose the "formation" of their lineup, which is usually either 1 stopper, 2 handlers, and 1 gunner OR 1 stopper, 1 handler, and 2 gunners. 69.141.14.51 (talk) 18:46, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Back to the Future
According to the Popular Culture section, there's a reference to Slamball in Back to the Future II. Since Slamball didn't even exist at the time, should this be included? It's an inspiration (to the name of Slamball) at best, and coincidence at worst. There's no way it's an actual popular-culture reference. JeffHCross (talk) 22:05, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cartoon Network
They haven't showed SlamBall for weeks, did they canceled it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.178.200.52 (talk) 05:41, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Deleted blurbs
Deleted two sections:
"biggest fans are all around the world you can become 1 now go to wikipedia (the free encylclopedia) for this info about any subject"
and
"we're talking to all the video game companies about it.As soon as we get a little more established, the video game will start production and I'm going to make sure it'sone of the best sports video games EVER."
Obviously don't belong in the article.

[edit] Fouls
Funny story. I was reading the article, and I see in parenteses "see Fouls below." Then I read the remainder of the article, and the section's not there. Any thoughts?Plantedpotroast (talk) 21:49, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
