In the 2005 film, Slartibartfast memorably imparted the following wisdom on life:
The article mentions that Slartibartfast's name is supposed to sound rude, but gives no explanation as to how it could be considered rude. I myself don't see what might be at all offensive about it. How is his name supposed to sound offensive? --Bando26 (talk) 06:32, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- My guess would be that it almost, but not quite, includes the words "barf" and "fart," giving it an offensive tone without actually using any rude words outright. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:53, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
The paragraph "He came closer in the next episode" is completely wrong, as the programmers (or their descendants) are not named at all in the radio series. 18.104.22.168 (talk) 09:59, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
