The Bolsheviks[edit]

The article says Lenin chose it as his residence from the October revolution on. This is patently wrong, it had been the HQ of the Bolshevik party since the spring of 1917 (not sure exactly who handed it over to them, but they were stationed there already by the time Lenin arrived in Petrograd in April or shortly after). 83.254.138.29 (talk) 14:45, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Smolny Institute is a Palladian edifice in Saint Petersburg that has played a major part in the history of Russia. This photograph depicts the building's facade in 2016, with a statue of Vladimir Lenin in the foreground.
