Notability[edit]

I suspect the speedy deletion request is due to the problem that a previous article of the same name was once created without any content. (From what I can tell, given my limited understanding of wikipedia.)

Perhaps Spertus should be compared for notability to Baltimore Hebrew University and Gratz College (Phila.).

Anyway, the article does assert its notability, to wit: "one of the leading Jewish organizations in Chicago." Also, by noting the $50 million price tag for its new building, I've implied another notable aspect of this college.

The Spertus Institute is an institution of higher learning, with full regional accreditation by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, as the article notes. It has one of the largest Jewish library collections in North America. Those facts alone ought to be enough to establish its "notability." Full disclosure: I am a Spertus student.
