Ruby Red Squirt[edit]

What happened to the Ruby Red stuff? Man, it's... gone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.21.221 (talk) 23:02, 11 April 2007‎ (UTC)[reply]

No, it's not. Where I live (Pasco, Washington), it's in almost every grocery store. I drink original Squirt, but Ruby Red is plentiful here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.189.180.66 (talk) 14:23, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Squirt logo300.jpg[edit]

Image:Squirt logo300.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT CLOWN?!?!?! We can't get it at ALL here! ;_; —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.72.21.221 (talk) 00:10, August 22, 2007 (UTC)

This reads like an ad.[edit]

OK, this whole thing reads like an ad. I'm going to re-write it into a more NPOV form. 220.233.176.162 (talk) 14:13, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have an old Squirt bottle with Lil' Squirt and could add a picture[edit]

... if I knew how. Anyone think this would add value to this topic? My bottle is probably circa '60, a little 8 oz. bottle that is being used as a salt shaker. Elrey (talk) 00:52, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Who are 'Hasan' and 'Bishop'?[edit]

The beginning of the History section made me go back to see if I had missed something. It reads like a paragraph from the middle of a book, talking about characters you by then know who are. The article could be improved by clarifying who 'Hasan' and 'Bishop' are. --2001:4650:C33F:0:61EF:9B29:6286:22FA (talk) 11:14, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox image[edit]

The current infobox image, File:Squirt.JPG, is a non-free file. Per WP:NFCC#1, non-free files can be used "only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose." But in this case free replacements are available: File:Squirt 1.jpg and File:Squirt 2.jpg, so we should use one of those instead. To be honest, I also think the free images are more informative, as they show the actual appearance of the soft drink, not just the outside of a can.

Accordingly, I've tried to replace the infobox image, but the change has been reverted twice, so I'm starting a discussion here. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 03:48, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pinging User:DM10-Redux, the user who reverted the change. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 03:50, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing no response, I'm restoring the free image. If anyone disagrees with this, please discuss here. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 04:06, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This makes no sense. It's been on for years here. Not sure why anyone would want an inferior photo. DM10-Redux (talk) 22:50, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@DM10-Redux: I don't agree with your view that the free photo is inferior, but regardless, WP:NFCC prohibits us from using a non-free photo when a free replacement is available. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 01:47, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
