Japanese occupation[edit]

Considering that the state was set up for just that purpose, please add it back. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 01:03, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How about adding a link to Japanese occupation of Burma? Would that do? I don't have my reference sources with me now, so I can't add much. Farkas János (talk) 21:49, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Form of Government[edit]

The form of government in this state still seems unclear to me. It might be much easier if I could see its constitution, but I could not find it. In a book I was reading by Dr. Ba Maw, he seemed to suggest that the form of state was never fully decided, and that there was debate between monarchists and republicans in the Independence Preparatory Committee; apparently there was at least some desire to re-establish their indigenous monarchy. In another one of my book sources, it seems Dr. Ba Maw was also referred to with a term equivalent to king. With the chaos of the war, it seems likely that no state institutions became firmly established and the committee-chosen government functioned provisionally. Does anyone have some more definite information about this? Farkas János (talk) 22:08, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
