[edit] Shall I include data

Shall I include data from http://www.statoids.com/ubr.html? --Oldak Quill 23:14, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Santa Catarina (the second most southerly state) is mislabeled as 22! --Dupes 20:28, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Powers of states

What powers to states have? How are they run? Do they have parliaments? Seabhcán 11:08, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed territories in the Northeast

Does anyone know the current status of the slices of territories claimed by several states of the Northeast (os territórios em litigação)? Has this dispute been settled as yet? //Big Adamsky 23:05, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Complete rewrite

This is just a list of maps. i will try to do something to improve the article and put something about the states and federations instead of simply posting one historical map after another. Macgreco 02:46, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] About the merge

I think this article as well as the others that its sugested to merge with should be expanded instead of merged, since they have valuable information that would be too heavy to develop in one page, besides the U.S has quite a lot of pages in this sense:

   * List of U.S. state capitals
   * List of current and former capital cities within U.S. states
   * List of U.S. states' largest cities
   * List of U.S. states by date of statehood
   * List of U.S. states that were never territories
   * List of U.S. state name etymologies
   * List of state legislatures in the United States
   * List of U.S. states by area
   * List of U.S. states by elevation
   * List of U.S. states by GDP (nominal)
   * List of U.S. states by GDP per capita (nominal)
   * List of U.S. states by population
   * List of U.S. states by population density
   * List of U.S. states by time zone
   * List of U.S. states by unemployment rate
   * List of U.S. state residents names
   * List of U.S. states by traditional abbreviation
   * U.S. postal abbreviations
   * U.S. state temperature extremes
   * Codes: FIPS state code, ISO 3166-2:US
   * Lists of U.S. state insignia

and i dont see a reason why Brazil shouldnt have it,besides the strong U.S bias on Wikipedia--Andres rojas22 17:50, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Updates

This article needs some updates on the statistics: It still uses statistics from 2000, which ends up showing state indicators such as HDI lower than it actually is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.27.181.79 (talk) 01:48, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Imperial Provinces map (1823) is flawed

The map showing the Imperial Provinces in 1823 is inaccurate. The section of the State of Minas Gerais known as "Triângulo Mineiro" was incorporated in 1816. This map still shows it as a part of the State of Goiás. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lex Bouvier (talkcontribs) 02:35, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] References?

Hi,

where are all the statistics from? If there were reference-cites, you could check and update them too. But if someone knows some up-to-date Brazilian statistics page for even some of the stats, that would be great too. -- Piisamson (talk) 16:48, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] GDP per capita at PPP

It should be R$ instead of US$ because in the Sao Paulo page in Wikipedia (and in all the others) it say R$, BRAZILIAN REAL, NOT USD.--80.31.73.71 (talk) 01:51, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
