Strange Interlude,,, after watching the 1932 version with Clark Gable, as the handsome surrogate donor, father, to the worried mother to be, the unaware husband could have uncovered the whole complicated plot by the wife to secure a sane and healthy child, by having a DNA test performed. And if I were the author, I would have ended the whole scenario by having the DNA prove it really was the husband's child, and all the plotting was for naught.
