Redirects?[edit]

Would it be appropriate to have Idrias and Chrysaoris redirect here? They seem like plausible search terms, and I don't think they'd refer to anything else (though searching for Idrias does return a lot of result with Idria). There are a couple pages that already point to those blank pages instead of here, but I'm pretty new and I'm not sure if it's better to add the redirects or change the page links (or, both, I guess) JQ East (talk) 15:09, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It never ceases to amaze how an article on Stratonicea manages to evade any mention of the word "Greek". I can sympathize with the political sensitivities in modern Turkey, but political considerations should not be allowed to compromise the informational integrity of this or any wikipedia article. 195.64.172.4 (talk) 06:28, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Idrias possibly tributary of Athens?[edit]

The article currently mentions that "Like many other non-Greek cities on the 425 BC assessment Idrias is never recorded actually paying any tribute to Athens[3] and was never a member of the Delian League." I am not an expert on the subject, but as an enthusiast on the Delian League I have been looking at the cited source (The Athenian Tribute Lists by B.D. Meritt). In the assessment of 454/3 the name "Εδριης" is included in the Karian tribute (Volume III, p. 22). Could this be a reference to Idrias? If it cannot be excluded that this is a possible reference to Idrias, I would propose to rephrase the current text as follows: "Like many other Greek and hellenized cities in Asia Minor, Idrias is likely to have paid tribute to Athens[3] and to have been a member of the Delian League." In any case I would be personally very interested to hear an expert view on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.64.172.16 (talk) 07:18, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
