Fair use rationale for Image:Animalcollective-strawberryjam2.jpg[edit]

Image:Animalcollective-strawberryjam2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"on pretentious hipster wet-dream website Pitchfork Media..." That's really not nessessary, and also, if you think pitchfork is pretentious, you really have no idea... 76.21.115.121 03:25, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Robert Christgau Review[edit]

Is the review by Robert Christgau really necessary? His review is barely a sentence long, and hardly a meaningful one at that...he seems to have based his opinion on one lyric from the song "Peacebone". I suggest it be removed. --67.177.113.133 (talk) 00:36, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of his reviews seem to be like that, and they're all over Wikipedia. I think he's significant enough to stay as mainly a rating. Dragosian (talk) 23:05, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just deleted the one-star Christgau review...and just noticed that the Rolling Stone review is written by him anyways, and he gave it three stars there. Really, he doesn't need two reviews up with two different ratings. Thanks. --24.177.121.51 (talk) 03:05, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reverend Green[edit]

Why does For Reverend Green link to Home (band)? Dragosian (talk) 23:05, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Reverend Green" is the alias of Brad Truax who is the bassist of Home and the tour manager of Animal Collective, and who the song is dedicated to. I guess the link's gone now anyway, but it might be good to mention that in "Album Content" if I can find a citation.121.98.208.32 (talk) 11:19, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment[edit]

I'm new to the Wikipedia community, so I apologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong place: In the track listing for Animal Collective's album Strawberry Jam the words "Reverend Green" in the song title "For Reverend Green" link to the wiki article about Tampa-based band Home. Why is this? Neither the words "reverend" nor "green" even appear on Home's article. The only reason I care enough to make a talk page about this is because I live in Tampa and am a little freaked out by the coincidence.
