Movie[edit]

Apparently there's a tie-in film called Street Fighter x Tekken: The Devil Within, due on 3/6/12. http://www.youtube.com/v/xfI9df8NTa4 Is a trailer enough proof to mention it? Digifiend (talk) 11:56, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's a fan film not sanctioned by Capcom. Doesn't really belong here. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 14:40, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's actually a fan film funded by Capcom, which may make it relevant in the section for marketing for the game. 65.27.251.251 (talk) 00:07, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

DLC[edit]

So...how do we cover the whole DLC fiasco? I mean, it's pretty obvious people aren't happy about it, and it's a hot topic that we really can't afford to ignore, but we'd obviously need legit sources before we add in mention of it. Obviously, the section would have to start with mention of Capcom's DLC plans, but have to find coverage from notable websites before we can add any mention of fan or press reaction. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 18:09, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There should be DLC section or subsection somewhere where this stuff could be discussed. --Jtalledo (talk) 22:32, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiability[edit]

I don't have time to do a GA review, but the article has a lot of uncited text in the Gameplay, Development, and Marketing sections that would need to be referenced before the article would reach GA. --Odie5533 (talk) 16:38, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rate Attribute Review Comment
1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct.
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.

"previously produced the role-playing game Namco × Capcom" Is there a reason this is in the lead, as it is not mentioned anywhere else in the article?

"Tekken X Street Fighter" Is there a reason this is in the lead, as above, it isnn't mentioned in the article?

2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline.

"These fighters can be switched out normally, or during certain combos. As fights go on, players build up power in a three sectioned meter at the bottom of the screen referred to as the Cross Gauge, which allow the player to perform various techniques depending on how much of the gauge is filled, such as EX Attacks, Cancels, Super Arts and various Cross techniques detailed below. Additionally, each fighter possesses one special attack that can be charged into an EX Attack or Super Art without any cost to the Cross Gauge. As opposed to the other crossover fighting games released by Capcom, in which the player must eliminate all the opponent's fighters to win, victory conditions are more similar to Tekken Tag Tournament, in which the first player to have one of their fighters' health bars reduced to zero loses the round, thereby the player who wins the most rounds wins the match." I'll assume that [5] refers to the stuff above this, so where are the refs for this section?

"Switch Cancel allows players to switch partners in the middle of a combo, whilst Cross Rush combos involve launching the opponent into the air before swapping partners and continuing the combo. Cross Arts, which require a full Cross Gauge, allows players to chain together each character's Super Combo in one straight attack, whilst the Cross Assault mechanic allows players to simultaneously control both characters in their team until the Cross Gauge runs out." Ref this please

"The game features various online options. Two players can battle on the same team, one controlling each character, and face off in four player matches. Scramble mode allows four players to fight simultaneously in pairs of two. The game also supported online training modes which can be played competitively or cooperatively with two players, as well as support the Fight Request feature." Ref this please

"The owners of the PlayStation 3 version are able to obtain the characters for free if they download them through the Vita version.[20] All together, the Sony versions have 55 playable characters available, giving Street Fighter X Tekken the second biggest roster in a Capcom fighting game after Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, which had 56 characters in all." ref this please

Large parts of the infobox are unreferenced, please fix this

2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose).
2c. it contains no original research.
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic.

The article doesn't really mention the ios version of the game, could you add some discussion of this into the article. I'm sure it isn't identical to the console versions, so it warrants a mention in the article.

3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).

The table listing every character in the game should be removed please.

4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.
5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content.
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
7. Overall assessment. I'm sorry but I am going to have to fail this article. It has significant quantities of unreferenced information within it and some issues with the lead. Please renominate once you have dealt with these issues.

"The table listing every character in the game should be removed please." No, because then it'd be the only one to NOT have the character lists. Look at any other fighting game article and I will guarantee there'll be a list of characters. You can't remove one and leave the others. 85.210.178.116 (talk) 11:30, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
