I have modified the Innervation section to indicate that sympathetic innervation causes synergistic effects to the parasympathetic stimulation, and increases exocytosis from certain cells, likely to produce low volume, enzyme rich saliva. I have added the reference (A.R. Ten Cate, pages 339-340), but was not able to link it to the entry. Contemptuous 18:12, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
