- A sample image is available from many banks. Here's a link to the one at Bank of America. Because checks have names of banks on them, I think someone needs to create a GFDL version with the First Bank of Wiki like the ones for original checks. Is there a image request board somewhere? -- Emana (talk) 21:13, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- The images of the front and back of a substitute check were included in this article in mid-2009. The images in this article comes from the U.S. Federal Reserve Board website. As for the suggestion that an image can be included from the Bank of America (BOA), In the case of BOA, those images are copyrighted. Images from banks (and trade associations and industry groups) were not included in this article for that reason, especially since non-copyrighted images were available from the Federal Reserve Board's site. →Lwalt ♦ talk 08:42, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Article looks good in terms of writing style, broadness, neutrality, stability, and image usage. (WP:GACR) I shall now check the sources. --Edge3 (talk) 16:11, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- Sources look ok. It would be nice to have information on people's reactions to the introduction of the substitute check, but perhaps that's more appropriate in the Check 21 Act article. The substitute check article, in my opinion, is ready for GA status. --Edge3 (talk) 17:08, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
The clearing process is overly complicated. In this scenario, there are three banks involved to create and forward a substitute check. Medium and large institutions don't use two correspondents, so this is also an uncommon example in context of check clearing volume. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.241.223.4 (talk) 16:47, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
