Amahat Azadari[edit]

Sultanpur is also recognized for its festival of moharram. Especially there are certain villlage amhat, turabkhani, aligarh, maniyarpur, where moharram is commemorated two month eight days. One significant thing is that every shia belonging to these villages come back from every nook and corner of worlds to their home to pay homage to the supreme sacrifices of imam husain a.s. Important dates of commemorations are 6th, 8th,9th, 24 Moharram, 15 safer, 22 safer( on this day baht'tar taboot is taken out to spread message of kerbla). There are some popular anjuman asghariya qadeem, anjuman-e asghariya, gulzare husaini, zinatul-aza, panjatani turabkhani and some other anjumans who keep paying tribute to shohadaye kerbala by securing mersiayas and nauhas.
