Discontinued?[edit]

Was Surf discontinued? It's been over a year since I've seen it at my local Ralphs, and now it's no longer at Walmart either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.67.35.214 (talk) 16:10, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirecting Omo to Surf is upside-down[edit]

The body of the article states quite clearly the Unilver's main detergent brand in most markets is Omo, not Surf. The article should therefore be Omo (detergent), and Surf (detergent) should redirect there.

The intro needs to be rewritten. As is stands, it is a haphazard list of markets and brand names; this should be reorganized as a list at the end of the article, and the intro should have a much clearer history of What brands were introduced when, together with (if possible) details on major regional markets (Europe, US, Latin America, Asia, Australia/NZ). I don't know enough about the topic to help with ther rwrite, moreover, reading the artcile did not materially increase my knowledge.

One thing is sure: to tag either Surf or Omo as Food or Drink is just plain wrong. Just try to mix Omo and water and take a drink!
