Is there some page that consolidates a list of the different classes of surface ships, and their general use? I've looked through the individual articles on Cruiser, Battleships, Frigates, and whatnot, but there doesn't seem to be any sort of cross-reference available.

fourth class of naval warfare?[edit]

Should Littoral be added as a fourth? There is already an article on Littoral combat ships. Debivort 20:40, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Merge Anti-surface warfare into Surface warfare[edit]

Oppose While the title Anti-surface warfare precisely defines the content, the Surface warfare is too broad (no need to duplicate most of the existing Naval warfare, which is only slightly more broad in terms of definition). In my opinion it is the Surface warfare that should be merged to Naval warfare, and Anti-surface warfare left alone. --Kubanczyk (talk) 22:33, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
