It is generally agreed that the Swedish and Finnish lapphunds share a common ancestry - the ancient Artic spitz. The breeding programs of the Swedes and Finns have over the years produced two distinctly different breeds. One is not counterpart to the other. Parfsten 15:44, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
