"The passports contain a note from the issuing state that is addressed to the authorities of all other states, identifying the bearer as a citizen of that state and requesting that he or she be allowed to pass and be treated according to international norms." - I can find no such note in my Swedish passport, and suspect that this is the norm. I can't find that in my passport either (issued this year). But might it be valid for older passports? There are currently three "generations" of valid Swedish passports in use; —1998, 1998–2005, 2005—. I'll remove that section now, if anyone with an older passport can show that this phrasing exists in it, then it can just as easily be put back along with a note that it applies for this and that year of passports. –– TimSE 16:22, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Royal Passports[edit]

I am not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask that, but do passports of princes of Sweden also include given names and a surname like any other ordinary citizen's passport ? The reason I am asking is that, in the UK, a royal passport would list the holder instead as His/Her Royal Highness [given names] [Title] instead, without a family name, e.g. His Royal Highness Charles Philip Arthur George The Prince of Wales.
