Problems with page
[edit]This article needs some major work. It’s not written in an encyclopedic tone, the author addresses the reader (which they shouldn’t), there are lots of POV statements, and no citations:
Examples
- POV
- The sweeps are very intresting ...
- Tone
- There is a whole matter of insane stretches ...
- Referencing
- Another part is the ability to make a piece of hanging cloth move without touching it, but merely by pushing one's hands in the direction of the cloth; experienced artists can make a noticeable bubble in the cloth.
- Nonsense
- For instance if he or she is coming at you and kicks you, all you have to do is flip with it sending your own opponent flying.
I'm into the martial arts myself, but the second sentence sounds like something straight out of a wuxia novel. Was the author trying to say they create wind by fanning their hands toward the cloth? Or are they suggesting it's qi? Either way, it needs a citation and if the source is not credible, I vote it be deleted altogether.
What the hell does the last sentence mean? Flip out of the way of the kick? Magically fly into the air, thus making the opponent fall? (Ghostexorcist 03:58, 6 June 2007 (UTC))
