Main setting of Castle Dangerous[edit]

This page says Kirkcudbrightshire, the Castle Dangerous page says Ayrshire & Lanarkshire. It seems to me this page may be confusing Douglas Castle and Castle Douglas, but I haven't read the novel myself.
