Untitled[edit]

this is in contradiction with the article under Bulgaria disambiguation,re asteroid Bulgaria, where it says that Tamara is a Bulgarian astronomer - here it says she was Russian - what is going on - she probably was part Bulgarian because her surnames def sound Russian

Is this article confused at the end (the last few lines?) Is the same person really a professor of history and of aerospace instrumentation?! This seems unlikely. The Singing Badger 20:54, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)

No, the "aerospace instrumentation" is simply part of the name of the university (which nevertheless also teaches subjects such as law, economics and history). I suppose it's the same as being a professor of history at the "Massachusetts Institute of Technology" (MIT). -- Curps 22:58, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)

The originally given date of birth (December 25, 1918) was that of the archaeologist of the same name (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamara_Mikhailovna_Smirnova). The true live dates (b. 1935, d. 2001) are given in the Minor Planet citation (see Schmadel). -- Astrohist (talk) 07:56, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
