Why did you remove the reference to this man? He is prominent and he is of this clan.

陳[edit]

"Tan" is also 陈/陳, use by many chinese in SE Asia. In this case Tan is the pronounciation/spelling of 陈/陳 in Hokkien/TeoChew dialect. So when someone tell you he is Tan, do not assume right away that he is 谭/譚.Wiki Pokemon 20:50, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese name difference between chen and tan[edit]

Please do not add name without their traditional chinese name Please do not add name if you only know they romanized name

Many people use “tan” as first name even it is not chinese surename, example tan malaka (from sutan malaka, padang)
